IPtronics exhibits silicon for Parallel Optical Interconnects featuring the lowest power available in the industry

Please visit us at booth 1429 at OFC in San Diego March 26th – 28th

Menlo Park, CA Feb 2009

IPtronics is pleased to invite customers, ecosystem partners and other interested parties to visit our booth at OFC2009 in San Diego.

IPtronics is strategically focused on Parallel Optical Interconnects for the Computer Communications market. IPtronics technology enables low cost, low power and small size optical interconnect solutions that computer manufactures will adopt in next generation systems to overcome the physical constraints from using copper-based connections over high speed interfaces and backplanes. Power consumption is the paramount challenge for mass deployment of optical interconnects in next generation computer systems and IPtronics holds the key technology to overcome this.

With a global presence in key markets combined with strong technical support, we can help the customer achieve successful end products. Whether based in US, Japan, Korea or Europe our counterparts will find strong support in your own language and time zone.

In order to be able to realize supply of 100's of millions of devices, all production has been outsourced to STMicroelectronics, a major semiconductor manufacturer and a leader of the relevant technology. STM has certified IPtronics as a design center based on a unique partnership agreement and will guarantee IPtronics' customers production capacity.

Our customers' find a highly qualified partner for increased competitive advantage in IPtronics by tapping into our unmatched engineering competence, high volume/low cost supply capability as well as competitive cost levels. If the focus is short reach interconnects, we can offer our customers' customers lower power and smaller size combined with strongly reduced cost leading to higher density, lower operational expenditure and better throughput taking full advantage of processor performance.

Jesper Bek, CEO IPtronics Inc says, "In line with the recent statements at Photonics West by the leading server manufacturers concerning the outlook for silicon photonics, IPtronics enables optical interconnects until that technology will become commercially viable.

More specifically we target our 4ch solutions at Infiniband DDR & QDR QSFP modules, Active Optical Cables, 40gE, video applications and proprietary solutions. Our 12ch solutions cater to SNAP12, CXP, and 100gE. Both product lines are fully available in large volumes. Future products bring even lower power and applications for the consumer space.

The company operates from its headquarters in Roskilde, Denmark and its US operations, IPtronics Inc. based in Menlo Park, CA.

IPtronics will exhibit at OFC in San Diego March 24th - March 26th from booth 1429.
